WHY DO WE DO THIS TO OURSELVES?
When I became a Mind Health and Wellness Coach, I saw first-hand how harnessing the power of your mind can be more effective in living life happier and healthier. Through neuroscience I discovered that the power of the mind is also more effective than the drugs we have been programed to believe we need. I also discovered three other areas are critical to our mind and overall health as well - sleep, exercise and nutrition. But I realized that a lot of people know these things, but for the most part America is not paying attention.
EMBRACING RENEWAL
Did you know that our liver regenerates every 150-500 days or that our skin is replaced every few weeks and the cells lining the stomach and intestines are replaced every few days. So, when you say you can’t change or how difficult change is, remember what much of your body is already doing. We are not static beings; we are dynamic systems of interconnected parts; we can constantly evolve and adapt.
WHEN SYMPTOMS SPEAK LOUDER THAN TESTS
Have you ever been to the doctor where you describe the issue, but their suggestions, blood work, scans and prescriptions do nothing to relieve the issue? We live in an era of advanced medicine where things like sophisticated blood tests can detect minute imbalances in our biochemistry. Yet, despite these technological marvels, many patients find themselves in a frustrating predicament: everything comes back "normal," yet they continue to experience a range of troubling symptoms.
THE ART OF REPAIR
We've all been there. A heated argument, a careless comment, an impulsive action – moments where our words or actions have left a trail of hurt, disappointment, or anger in their wake. Even when things feel irreparable, there's often a path to repair.
DO YOU NEED A RESET?
Last year was a year of mixed emotions—pride for accomplishments, regret for missed opportunities, and anticipation for what’s next. Ask yourselve is what I did last year what I want to do with this year? Did you learn from it, live for today and create your tomorrows? Did you intentionally take time to pause, reflect, and reset?
YOU ARE NOT YOUR GENES
Do you find yourself blaming your circumstances on your past or your genetics? It's time to shift your perspective. You are not your genetics, and you don’t have to be looping your past. Your choices, your lifestyle and your mindset are the true determinants of your health and well-being.
THE POWER OF PAUSE
Do you feel bombarded with information and expected to react quickly? Take a pause. Slowing down can be very productive. Being more intentional with your time and energy and cultivating the habit of pausing can change your life. By refocusing your attention on what truly matters, and Referencing your values and goals, you can experience greater peace, joy, and fulfillment in your life. Some paybacks:
REFLECTING ON THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS
As the Holiday season approaches, our minds often turn to gifting, festive gatherings and the hustle and bustle of the season. However, with the flurry of activity, it's easy to lose sight of what truly matters: gratitude.
WHAT IS YOUR PERSPECTIVE?
Do you consider yourself an optimist or a pessimist, a glass half full or half empty person?
SPIRITUALITY: THE SOUL OF WELLNESS
Wellness is a multifaceted concept encompassing physical, emotional, intellectual, social, environmental and occupational dimensions. Plus, one that is often overlooked, especially in business, is Spiritual.
THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF WELLNESS
Wellness is a broad concept that means being healthy in all aspects of life, throughout life. I have shared before the Eight Dimensions of Wellness. These dimensions are interconnected and build or deplete each other.
WHAT IS GOING ON BETWEEN YOUR EARS?
We often find ourselves lost in the maze of our thoughts, trapped in the past or anxious about the future. To truly live in the present moment, we must learn to navigate the intricate workings between your ears.
IF ONLY I HAD KNOWN!
Have you ever commented “I wish I would’ve known this before?” Now is the only time that we can seize and experience the change we wish we would’ve had. Attain the mindset that the life we have is a precious gift.
DO YOU BELONG?
Belonging is crucial for our mental health, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life.
I CAN’T ATTAIN THAT!
This is the third in my series of the three biggest threats to our health: I’m not worthy, I am different/defective, and I can’t attain or achieve this – which is the one we will address today. It amazes me how some people say that they I don’t suffer from any of those, and others say, That they are intimate friend with all three.
ARE YOU DIFFERENT?
Last week I began a series on our three threats to who we truly are: Unworthy/Not Enough, Different/Defective, Can’t Achieve/Attain. We focused on worth. This week is on being different/defective.
THE THREE BIGGEST THREATS
Do you ever suffer from one or more of the biggest threats to your accomplishments? I will cover each over the next three weeks: the what, the why, and the how to overcome them. The threats are:
AM I LIVING MY PURPOSE?
We have heard that when we discover our purpose it can significantly enrich our lives. It can also define a clear roadmap for guiding our decisions and actions. It will increase our motivation and enhance fulfillment, provide greater resilience and allow us to make a positive contribution to the world.
DO YOU FEEL FULFILLED?
Is what you are doing satisfying? Living congruently with what you value most is the key to the deepest fulfilment in life.
