EMBRACING RENEWAL
Did you know that our liver regenerates every 150-500 days or that our skin is replaced every few weeks and the cells lining the stomach and intestines are replaced every few days. So, when you say you can’t change or how difficult change is, remember what much of your body is already doing. We are not static beings; we are dynamic systems of interconnected parts; we can constantly evolve and adapt.
Embrace the Hard:
Just as your body knows how to heal, you possess the inner wisdom to navigate change. It all can be developed through dedication and hard work.
Whether it's a new habit, a different perspective, or a shift in priorities, start with small incremental steps then build momentum.
Celebrate your successes, no matter how small. Each positive step reinforces your belief in your ability to change and creates new neuropathways.
Nourish the Inner:
Be kind to yourself, understand that setbacks are inevitable and use them as opportunities for learning and growth.
Engage in activities that nourish your mind, body, and spirit: exercise, meditate, spend time in nature, pursue a hobby, find your tribe.
Seek loved ones, mentors, or support groups who can offer encouragement and guidance.
Make Curiosity Your Friend:
Step outside your comfort zone into the unknown.
Cultivate a growth mindset. Reframe the negative. Believe in your abilities and talents.
Instead of dwelling on past mistakes or worrying about the future, focus on the present moment.
Learn to Listen:
Observe and record the frequency, intensity and any potential triggers for your symptoms.
Connect the dots. Your brain seeks patterns. What are they, how can you recognize and refocus them?
Trust Your Intuition.
Share your detailed symptom journal.
Just as our bodies possess an inherent drive towards healing and renewal, we too have the capacity to transform ourselves. Ask yourself, “Who and what am I leaving behind to become my future self?” By embracing the process, nourishing our inner landscape, and embracing the unknown, we can unlock our full potential for growth and change.
