Think About It
Last week I spent time on the first of my 5R’s Of Good Decisions – Recognize bit.ly/3H5Z9JY
or becoming hyperaware and mindful of your thoughts, feelings, and actions. This week we focus on my second R which is to Reflect: To observe—ponder/meditate on and be mindful of your thoughts, feelings, actions, and environment.
Your mind is a record of your environment and a reflection of your past. So, ask yourself, “Does my environment control my thinking or does my thinking control my environment?” Then ask, “What do I want, and what am I will to do about it?”
We daily experience the same occurrences that produce the same emotions while secretly expecting something to change in our lives. However, we can join a movement to truly address the underlying cause of the issue. Our external environment has been turning on different circuits in our brain that cause us to think the way we have already known about everything. So, we keep creating our same lives. It’s Ground Hog Day all over again.
To truly change means you must think, reflect, and act differently than you now do. You must pause and reflect on what you think before you react to a situation. Great people through history have had visions so strong in their mind that they began to live in that reality long before it happened, and then it happened. We can do the same!
If you can visualize what you truly desire in your future and think and act on as if it had already happened enough times, your mind literally changes to look like the event has already happened. Neuroscience has proven that it is absolutely possible.
“Your personality can create a new personal reality” Dr. Joe Dispensa. It is made up of how you think, feel and act and visualize that future now! To create a new personality, you would need to reflect on and change the behaviors and habits that you are demonstrating. Then the emotions that you have been firing and wiring together (many since childhood) and have become memorized can change into that which is your new personality.
